A portrait of Taylor Swift.  I first loved Taylor Swift when I saw her ‘Shake it Off’ video years ago, where she tries to keep up with all the other professional dancers and demonstrates her playful spirit and humility.  She's an amazingly prolific singer and songwriter, and I streamed her music on shuffle while I was painting this over a period of a month, which included nine drawings before I dared put any charcoal on the canvas.  I also like what she stands for; her politics and moral positions seem to align with mine.  This portrait is a tribute to her enduring creativity and joyful spirit.
